TUHOUSE is one of the 13 teams selected to participate in the second Solar Decathlon competition for Latin America and the Caribbean 2019. It is an interdisciplinary group made up of outstanding students and professors from the University of San Buenaventura Cali and the Autonomous University of the West; two major institutions of higher education united in this project to generate an economic, social and environmental impact through teaching and the experience of the research groups that support the team.

The team’s sustainable social housing proposal, also called TUHOUSE, places special emphasis on the major themes of the 2019 SDLAC Contest: social housing, density, rational use of natural resources and regional relevance, adapted for people with reduced mobility, as well as the ten aspects of sustainability that integrate the evaluation and give meaning to the Decathlon.
